Wow, this was a tiring yet very rewarding shoot! It's been over a year since my last Food & Beverage (F&B) shoot so I had to brush off the cob webs and take the dust off my indispensable macro lens. This was a complete menu shoot with over 50 plates for a new restaurant in the Brickell Area called Nikko by Sunshine. The owner is Sunshine which is Nikko in Japanese. Sunshine creates a fusion of great Asian flavors. The presentation is spectacular and the food is delicious - I know, I sampled every plate! One of the perks of a food photographer.
These images will be used on a new iPad style menu system as well as for web site and marketing campaigns. Please stop by Nikko (186 SE 12th Terrace) for a great meal and tell Sunshine Raul the Photographer sent you.
Images captured with my Canon 5DMKII and Tamron 90 f/2.8 macro lens. Lighting with two Einstein strobes and several reflectors. Sunshine requested bright well lit images with greater depth of field to capture food details in the presentation.
Here's a sampling of the images - let the Pan Asian adventure begin!
